Job Specifications

DBHDS - Cloud Engineer 2 /Server Admin

Must pick up equipment in person

This is a hybrid role with 80% Cloud Engineering duties and 20% Server Admin responsibilities. Pls make sure you are communicating this to your candidate, so no surprises should they be selected for an interview.

Qualifications:
Intermediate proficiency specifically with the AWS Cloud Platform and familiarity with standard software engineering industry best practices.
Strong experience implementing full-stack web applications leveraging React, Node.js, TypeScript on the front-end, and implementing serverless back-end APIs leveraging AWS Lambda and NoSQL databases (eg. AWS DynamoDB).
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js).
Solid understanding of version control (e.g. Git), DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and build relationships with stakeholders.
Passion for learning new technologies and staying updated on tech trends.
Additional Considerations

Experience in on-prem (Windows Server), cloud and hybrid infrastructure, with a focus on delivering scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.
Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect/Developer - Associate level)
Microsoft Server Engineer certifications

Required/Desired Skills

Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Windows Server Administration (Server 2019 & Server 2022). Required 10 Years Intermediate proficiency specifically with the AWS Cloud Platform and familiarity with standard software engineering industry best practices. Required 5 Years Strong experience implementing full-stack web applications leveraging React, Node.js, TypeScript on the front-end, and implementing serverless back-en Required 5 Years Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Node.js). Required 8 Years Solid understanding of version control (e.g. Git), DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Required 5 Years
