About The Role
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior QA Specialist to support testing activities across the full delivery and product lifecycle of a large scale public sector technology initiative. This role is hands on and leadership focused, requiring strong expertise in test strategy, execution, defect management, and stakeholder collaboration.
The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business users, and project managers to ensure high quality, reliable solutions are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Plan, manage, and schedule end to end testing activities across multiple test cycles
Execute and oversee manual and automated testing including system, functional, regression, integration, and UAT
Track, manage, and triage defects using collaborative tools and communicate status to stakeholders
Support and lead User Acceptance Testing, providing guidance to business users
Review functional and technical specifications to ensure full test coverage
Identify quality risks early and escalate issues to project leadership
Prepare test data sets that reflect real world scenarios
Execute database queries to validate and extract test data
Collaborate with developers, vendors, QA teams, and business stakeholders to resolve issues
Produce test summary reports and provide regular status updates
Must Have Qualifications
8+ years of hands on QA experience, including leading QA or testing teams
Strong experience with defect tracking and test management tools
Experience testing enterprise level applications and systems
Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Hands on experience with technologies such as SharePoint, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, COTS, SaaS, and cloud based applications
Experience using version control and DevOps tools (Microsoft DevOps preferred)
Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
Experience with automated testing tools
Experience supporting public sector or government projects
Experience with performance, load, and data testing
Experience facilitating defect triage sessions and UAT workshops
