The Role
We are seeking an HSE Electrical Intern to join our Health, Safety & Environment team in London for a 12-month internship. This role is designed for someone with an electrical engineering foundation who wants to apply technical knowledge to health, safety, and critical risk prevention in the renewable energy sector.
During the internship, you will play an active role in strengthening electrical safety across our global portfolio. You will support the review of electrical designs and help identify improvement opportunities, including the use of technology and digital systems to enhance ways of working. You will contribute to the development of global electrical safety standards, participate in investigations and learning reviews, and help benchmark industry best practice. You will also support our Safety by Design processes, audits, and assurance activities related to critical electrical risk controls. Throughout the internship, you will engage with engineering, construction, and operations teams globally, directly contributing to the maturity of our electrical safety governance across all regions.
This internship offers a unique opportunity for direct mentoring from HSE experts, hands-on exposure to global engineering and HSE practices, and the chance to make a tangible impact on safety improvements across a rapidly expanding renewable energy portfolio.
Desirable skills:
Currently studying or graduated in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related field)
Understands electrical systems, components and safe design principles
Interest in applying engineering knowledge to practical construction, operations, and maintenance environments
Curious, analytical learner who asks questions and seeks continuous improvement
Interest in improving and digitising HSE processes to enhance ways of working
