About The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be based within commuting distance to Bristol and possess a flexible approach to work, covering both service and maintenance tasks, with opportunities to engage in installation projects. This role offers a varied workload, allowing you to develop a broad skill set within the fire and security sector. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, security alarms, CCTV, access control, and other related equipment. Qualifications

The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications such as FIA, NSI, or equivalent certifications in fire and security systems. Prior experience working within the fire and security industry is essential, with a strong understanding of installation, servicing, and maintenance procedures. A clean driving license is required, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team is crucial. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude are highly valued. Certification or experience in CCTV, access control, or other security systems will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and service fire alarm systems, security alarms, CCTV, access control, and related equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting to ensure systems are fully operational and compliant with legal and safety requirements.
Respond promptly to service calls, diagnose issues efficiently, and implement effective solutions to minimize system downtime.
Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring they understand the operation and maintenance of their systems.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including service reports, installation records, and compliance paperwork.
Assist in the planning and execution of installation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client specifications.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry developments, standards, and best practices to ensure the company's services remain competitive and compliant.

Benefits

ThriveSW Limited offers a competitive basic salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum for a 40-hour workweek, with additional overtime opportunities.
