Urgent – Technical Print Operator (Swindon, 3-Month Contract)
Start Date: ASAP / Early January
Location: Swindon – fully onsite
Contract Length: 3 months
Hours: 40 hours per week
Training (first 2 weeks): 8am–4pm
After training: 7:30am–7:30pm (day shifts)
About the Role
We are urgently seeking a Technical Print Operator to join our clients Swindon manufacturing site. This is not a warehouse role — we are looking for candidates with GMP or digital print experience.
You will operate and maintain Encapsulation Machines, perform in-process quality checks, and ensure all manufacturing documentation is completed accurately. The role involves handling non-hazardous, hazardous, and DEA materials, supporting machine changeovers, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a clean, compliant work area.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain Encapsulation Machines (cover up to 4 machines during breaks)
Complete batch records and GMP documentation accurately
Monitor materials, gels, solvents, and lubricants
Perform in-process quality checks
Support machine changeovers, setup, teardown, and troubleshooting
Assemble and stage tray stacks with manufactured softgels
Ensure supplies are maintained at required levels
Escalate any deviations from SOPs or batch records immediately
Support operators during production as required
Candidate Requirements
Experience in digital print and/or GMP manufacturing
Comfortable in a high-noise manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail & documentation accuracy
Flexible to work 12-hour shifts
Comfortable handling industrial chemicals, flammable materials, and potent drug compounds
