Company

InfinyTech3D is a fast-growing company specializing in hyper-realistic physical simulation and the development of immersive technologies. We leverage the SOFA framework to simulate complex physical phenomena and to power advanced VR/AR medical applications. Our teams develop cutting-edge simulation features, high performance surgical Digital Twins, and provide expert consulting for clients across the MedTech industry.

Internship Overview

As an intern, you will join the InfinyTech3D R&D team to contribute to the evolution of our surgical platform, SurgiViz4D. Your work will focus on exploring and developing new simulation capabilities inside the SOFA framework (C++), aimed at real-time surgical simulation demonstrators.

This internship is designed for students with a strong interest in physics simulation and a solid background in C++ and numerical methods. Depending on your profile, the internship may focus on one of the following topics:

Soft-tissue deformation and material law implementation
Thermal or electrosurgical effects (burning, coagulation)
Simulation performance optimization (GPU, Multithreading)

Your Mission

Learn how to use and develop within the SOFA framework
Explore, prototype and design new physics simulation features
Develop and/or optimize numerical and algorithmic methods inside SOFA
Document your work and learn how to contribute to a wide project using Github pull requests
Collaborate with the R&D team to Integrate your developments into our existing simulation pipeline

Your Profile

Final-year engineering or Master’s student (M2) in computer science, scientific calculus, applied mathematics, or related fields
Experience in C++ programming is mandatory
Strong interest in physics simulation, numerical methods, FEM and matrix computation
Knowledge in GPU programming is a plus and may influence the final topic
