We’re Hiring: Developer / Programmer Analyst 3

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite Only)

We are seeking an experienced Developer / Programmer Analyst 3 to support critical Medicaid and Long-Term Care technology initiatives within a large public-sector environment. This role will focus on enterprise web services development, system integrations, and enhancements supporting Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and PASRR programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Important Location Requirement (Mandatory)

Onsite position in Austin, TX
Only candidates currently residing within a 50-mile radius of Austin will be considered
Out-of-state candidates or those planning to relocate will not be considered
No remote option

Key Responsibilities

Plan, design, develop, test, and document enterprise applications
Develop and enhance web services, batch processing systems, and workflows
Analyze user requests and translate business requirements into technical specifications
Support system integrations, data exchanges, and application deployments
Collaborate with business users, analysts, QA teams, and developers
Perform system integration testing and defect tracking/validation
Lead or contribute to complex development initiatives with minimal supervision

Required Qualifications (8+ Years Each)

Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
Java and J2EE development with strong object-oriented design (OOD)
SQL programming and relational database experience
Web Services, RAD, and WebSphere technologies
Oracle stored procedures and database applications
System integration testing and defect management
Test planning, test case development, and execution
Data structures, data migration, and database design concepts
Strong stakeholder interaction and requirements analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting public-sector or government health systems
