About This Role

We are seeking a Software Developer to join the engineering team for our Shop-Ware product. In this role, you’ll design, build, and iterate on front end react heavy, full stack features that power our core product. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software while contributing to the technical vision and best practices as we expand.

What You’ll Do:

Build and rapidly iterate on full stack application with a front end focused features using Ruby on Rails 6.1 and React developing highly customized APIs and integrations.
Contribute to architectural design and execution, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance as the application and team grow.
Continuously improve development practices, enhancing code quality, testing, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring to deliver a highly available product.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

3+ years of experience as a software developer, with proven experience with Ruby on Rails (6.1 or higher), HTML, Javascript, and CSS
2+ years of proven experience with React
Thorough knowledge of Ruby on Rails: understanding the pitfalls of the framework, how to effectively organize code in a larger project, and how to write efficient and understandable code.
Thorough knowledge of React: understanding the key features of React and effective usage of components.
Confident working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL).
Strong written and communication skills.
Ability to solve problems with a motivation for quality software craftsmanship.
Focused and detail-oriented, with ability to implement creative, technically sound solutions.
