Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team! This position is located in Irving, Texas.
Duties
Lead end-to-end data science projects, delivering innovative, data-driven solutions that address complex business challenges and drive measurable outcomes
Design, develop, and validate advanced machine learning and statistical models, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers to deploy models in production environments, both real-time and batch, while implementing performance monitoring and improvement strategies
Partner with key business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable data science opportunities and provide insights that inform decision-making
Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, fostering deep collaboration with product, engineering, and business teams
Serve as a subject matter expert in machine learning and predictive analytics, providing guidance on best practices and model interpretability
Stay current with emerging trends, research, and advancements in data science, continually exploring new methodologies and technologies to enhance solution effectiveness
Desired Skills/Experience:
Masters degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline
Proficient in Python and SQL, with strong coding practices and data manipulation skills
Practical experience with modern database technologies
Familiar with transformer-based architectures including SLMs, LLMs, VLMs, and embedding models
Demonstrated expertise in API development and containerization technologies
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Vector Search
Knowledgeable in software development methodologies, including Git, branching strategies, Agile workflows, and test-driven development
Proven experience developing LLM-based solutions such as retrieval-augmented generation systems, chatbots, and agentic AI applications

The approximate pay range for this position is between $56.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
