Role Description
As a DevOps Contractor, you will support the project team by streamlining and automating software development and deployment processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and security. The role focuses on building, operating, and continuously improving a secure, automated Azure-based cloud data platform with Databricks.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
Automate infrastructure and application delivery using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines across dev, test, and prod environments
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, ensuring scalability, availability, and secure runtime practices
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration of cloud resources
Administer Databricks environments including workspaces, clusters, policies, and access controls
Support data pipelines using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, and Azure Data Lake
Implement least-privilege access using Azure RBAC, IAM policies, and Active Directory group-based access
Manage secrets, keys, and certificates using Azure Key Vault
Build monitoring, alerting, and observability using Dynatrace; perform incident triage, RCA, and preventive automation
Perform regular security assessments, apply patches, and maintain platform integrity
Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless application delivery
Required Skills & Experience
Proven hands-on experience in DevOps and platform administration on Azure
Strong expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Docker
CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, and Azure Data Lake
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and container orchestration
Experience managing RBAC and IAM in Azure and cloud environments
Solid experience with Active Directory and AD group management
Hands-on experience with Azure Key Vault for secrets and key management
Monitoring and incident management experience using Dynatrace
Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
Good understanding of networking and cloud security best practices
Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog governance and permissions
