Job Title – Senior AWS Platform Engineer (Security & Observability)

Clearance Required – SC clearance required

Location – UK Remote

Contract Length – 12 months (with scope to extend)

We are looking for a Senior AWS Platform Engineer with strong expertise in cloud security, governance, and observability.

You will be responsible for building and operating secure, compliant, resilient, and highly observable AWS platforms, embedding security-by-design and best-in-class monitoring across infrastructure and applications.

Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with AWS security and architecture.
Deep understanding and ability of observability principles and enterprise tooling (Dynatrace).
Experience building scalable, resilient cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP beneficial).
Design and operate full-stack observability, with a strong focus on Dynatrace.
Manage AWS security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, Inspector).
Automate platform, security, and observability using Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Proficiency in IaC, automation, and scripting (Python or Ruby).
Strong CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience
Experience with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) and containerised workloads.
Solid understanding of AWS networking and security.
Support runtime and protective monitoring using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace AppSec, and SIEMs.
Build dashboards, alerts, and reporting to provide actionable insights.
Define and manage SLOs and SLIs.
Proven delivery of cloud migration, optimisation, or transformation projects.
Strong client-facing and cross-team collaboration experience.
