Technical Architect - 6-Month Contract - Hybrid (Luton)
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with strong hands-on development and architectural expertise in .NET, Node.js, Sitecore, React/Angular/jQuery, HTML/CSS and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable solutions, guiding development teams, and ensuring best practices across application architecture, security, performance, and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design end-to-end application architecture for web and enterprise solutions.
Define technical standards, patterns, best practices and guidelines.
Create high-level and low-level design documents.
Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, security and maintainability requirements.
Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Provide architectural guidance during planning, development, and deployment phases.
Lead by example with hands-on coding when required.
Develop and review Back End services using .NET (ASP.NET Core) and Node.js.
Design and guide Front End development using React/Angular/jQuery, HTML/CSS.
Architect and customize Sitecore solutions (content modelling, personalization, integrations).
Implement Sitecore integrations with third-party systems and APIs.
Define and implement security best practices including encryption, authentication and authorization.
Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Ideally Bring
8-10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development.
4+ years of experience in a Technical Architect role.
Strong experience with .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs).
Strong experience with React/Angular/jQuery, HTML/CSS
Hands-on experience with Sitecore CMS (XP/XM preferred).
Experience with REST APIs & microservices architecture.
Strong understanding of SQL Server/NoSQL databases.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS).
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead architectural reviews and mentor development teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Contract Details
Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
Day Rate: Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Luton - Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)
Start Date: ASAP
