Network Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join a technical operations team supporting a large, complex customer network environment.

This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day network support, fault resolution, and continuous improvement, while also supporting senior engineers with project delivery and change implementation.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

Taking ownership of support tickets and driving them through to resolution
Triaging and resolving incidents in line with SLAs
Communicating clearly with both customers and internal teams
Supporting and maintaining complex multi-vendor network environments
Monitoring infrastructure and proactively identifying improvements
Working across physical, virtual and network layers
Performing software and firmware upgrades
Assisting with and implementing change requests (CRQs)
Maintaining accurate asset and support documentation
Helping to automate and streamline operational tasks through scripting
Supporting security best practices including vulnerability management

Technical Environment

You’ll be working with:

Multi-vendor networks (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)
Virtual and physical infrastructure
Network monitoring and fault-finding tools
Change control and IT service management processes

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

Has strong networking fundamentals and hands-on support experience
Has experience in multi-vendor network environments
Understands network topology and infrastructure design
Is comfortable working with multiple operating systems
Has or is working towards relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA or similar)
Has a strong troubleshooting mindset and enjoys solving complex problems
Is proactive, self-motivated and keen to develop their skills
Communicates clearly and professionally
Takes ownership of issues and sees them through to resolution
Works well both independently and as part of a team
