Cybersecurity Architect (Threat Modeling) – Remote

Overview:
The Cybersecurity Architect will help sustain and mature the enterprise threat modeling program by conducting threat modeling exercises for applications moving through the Technology Development Lifecycle (TDLC). This role partners with engineering and security teams to identify risks and define security controls aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform threat modeling activities across TDLC application releases
Apply Defense-in-Depth principles to application and infrastructure designs
Provide security architecture guidance across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments
Identify and assess risks related to application security, network security, data protection, and identity and access management
Support audit activities, evidence gathering, and remediation planning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall security posture
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in systems engineering, security architecture, or information security
Strong expertise in network security architecture and Defense-in-Depth principles
Deep knowledge of TOGAF and enterprise architecture concepts
Hands-on experience with application security, secure SDLC, encryption and key management, cloud platforms, virtualization, firewalls, intrusion prevention, DDoS protection, incident response, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, operating system hardening, database security, and mainframe security
Preferred Qualifications (Negotiable)
Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, GIAC, or similar)
Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
