Senior Full Stack Engineer | Payments & Checkouts | Node.js | React.js | Remote Europe | Up to £105K

Maze has been retained by one of Europe's fastest-growing platforms in the creator economy space to hire a Senior Full Stack Engineer for the Payments & Checkouts team.

Financial systems are core to their product, and this role will help shape the scalable checkout and payout infrastructure that supports millions of global transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build scalable financial systems, including global checkout and payout flows.
Develop financial tooling such as fraud checks, reconciliation tools, reporting dashboards, and internal admin features.
Integrate and optimise third-party payment providers and alternative payment methods.
Improve developer experience, ensuring financial systems are resilient, testable, and maintainable.
Work cross-functionally with product, design, compliance, and operations to align technical work with business priorities.
Deliver reliable, high-quality systems quickly in a fast-scaling environment.

Key Requirements

Strong engineering experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Postgres.
Proven experience building or scaling high-volume payment and payout systems.
Ability to design complex, fault-tolerant financial architectures.
Hands-on senior engineer who enjoys solving deep technical problems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Ability to move fast while maintaining quality, security, and compliance.
High ownership, proactivity, and end-to-end delivery mindset.

Nice to Have

Location: Remote within Europe or London office - if remote, quarterly team meetings in London.
