We're looking for an experienced Staff Android Engineer to help drive the next evolution of our product. You'll work closely with a talented, collaborative team that values transparency, impact, and technical excellence.

What you'll do
Design and Build: Develop and enhance features that elevate our Android application, leveraging modern frameworks like Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and GraphQL.
Architect and Refactor: Lead modernization efforts, evolving Legacy components into scalable, maintainable architecture.
Champion Quality: Write clean, testable, and maintainable code while establishing strong testing and CI/CD practices.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and Back End engineers to deliver seamless user experiences.
Stay Current: Keep pace with the evolving Android ecosystem and identify opportunities to incorporate new platform capabilities.
Mentor and Lead: Share knowledge, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and help guide technical discussions that raise the bar for the team.
Operate with Ownership: Monitor, diagnose, and resolve production issues to ensure reliability and performance across the Android platformQualifications

8+ years of industry experience
Deep understanding of the Android SDK
Fluency in Kotlin with strong knowledge of Coroutines and asynchronous programming
Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose (Bonus: Compose/View interoperability, custom layouts, and design system components)
Solid architectural foundation (MVVM, Hilt, modularization strategies)
Expertise with Gradle and build system optimization
Experience with OkHttp and GraphQL (Apollo client preferred)
Proven track record of writing robust, maintainable tests
Strong communication skills with experience mentoring other engineers
Familiarity with client application and systems architecture patterns
Prior experience building and maintaining apps with comprehensive feature sets and rich user interfaces
Prior experience operating and supporting production apps
Structured, organized thinker that is both attentive to detail and mindful of the big picture
Interest in investing and personal finance
Experience partnering closely with iOS Engineers or contributing to iOS app development is a strong plus
Salary band - $180,000 - $210,000Additional Information
