Job Specifications
We are seeking an experienced Splunk Administrator to manage and support enterprise-scale Splunk environments. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Splunk administration, log analytics, dashboards, upgrades, and platform reliability, along with working knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Splunk Enterprise environments, including indexers, search heads, and forwarders
Manage log collection, parsing, indexing, and analytics across multiple data sources
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports
Perform Splunk rolling upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance
Handle certificate management and renewals (SSL/TLS)
Monitor Splunk performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot issues as needed
Collaborate with SRE, infrastructure, and application teams to improve observability and reliability
Implement best practices for security, performance tuning, and scalability
Required Qualifications
6–8+ years of hands-on Splunk administration experience
Strong expertise in log ingestion, search optimization, and analytics
Experience with certificate renewals and secure Splunk deployments
Proven experience performing Splunk rolling upgrades
Solid experience building dashboards, alerts, and reports
Strong understanding of Splunk architecture and administration
Working knowledge of SRE concepts such as monitoring, incident response, and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large-scale or distributed Splunk environments
Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python)
Splunk certifications (Power User, Admin, Architect)
