Job Specifications

Day-to day Responsibilities:

• Security Assessments: Prepare and conduct data security assessments for both planned initiatives and unplanned instances. Use your knowledge of processes, tools, techniques, and practices for assuring consistency to standards associated with accessing, altering, and protecting organizational data.

• Risk Reviews: Collaborate with leaders and make informed, risk‐based recommendations to enhance data security. Weigh business needs against security concerns to guide the business toward practical, informed decisions.

• Governance and Service Management Support: Proactively contribute to governance and service management initiatives, providing technical and business advice as well as insight on service management processes. Contribute to development of data security roadmaps.

• Project Support & Reporting: Investigate and reduce a backlog of project and triage assessments related to the Digital Crown Jewel Program. Drive reporting for management and executives.

• Security Operations Support: Support data security operations activities, ensuring sound operational management, reporting, and excellence.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experienced: You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in IT, Information Security, or a Risk Management role.
Certified: CISSP, CIA, or CISM are assets. Basic knowledge of cryptography (key and certificate management) is also an asset.
Skilled in Microsoft Purview: You understand and have experience with Microsoft Purview, especially in implementing and configuring sensitivity labels and integrating them with controls (e.g., DLP, data discovery). Strong understanding of data classification, labeling, and protection mechanisms.
Knowledgeable in database protection: Experience with database and storage encryption and column‐level protection through built‐in and vendor‐hosted solutions.
