AI Engineer

Location: London (Onsite - 5 days per week)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £200,000 + generous equity package

Interview Process: 2-4 stages

I'm hiring for two YC-backed startups building foundational AI infrastructure - one focused on advancing reasoning capabilities, the other on streamlining how teams deploy and monitor models in production.

What we're looking for:

Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
Founding engineer mindset with ownership mentality
Series A-C scale-up experience (ideally in fast-growth environments)

Role 1: AI Engineer

Expert-level Python with exposure to frontend technologies (TypeScript/React preferred)
Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
Ability to ship AI-powered features end-to-end
Minimum 3 years of experience

Role 2: Applied AI Engineer

Strong backend engineering experience (Python preferred)
Deep knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git workflows
Experience building RAG pipelines and AI agent orchestration systems
Minimum 5 years of experience
