Company Description

Launched in 2023, Laniakea is a lean, high-growth hedge fund specializing in relative value (RV) volatility strategies across multiple asset classes. Our small team is spread across London, Sydney, Chicago and NYC, and as a young startup, we’re looking for interns who are excited to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Qualities that make you a great candidate:

Pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in financial markets.
Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or C++ is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Self-motivated and eager to learn in a dynamic startup environment.
Permanent legal authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

Assist the trading team in analyzing market trends and performance data.
Support operational tasks to ensure seamless trading processes.
Contribute to research projects and data analysis related to trading strategies.
Participate in team meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
Gain exposure to various aspects of hedge fund operations and trading.
