About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the PQX SDET team, a horizontal QA organization providing automation and quality support across FOA and monetization surfaces.
This role supports high-impact products across various social median platforms and and GenAI, and is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, works independently, and can build strong XFN relationships.
Responsibilities
Identify, architect, and implement long-term automation solutions for complex and ambiguous problems.
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to ensure product quality, stability, and long-term maintainability.
Redesign and evolve test frameworks to support experimentation, feature rollouts, and product changes aligned with quality goals.
Define quality-driven roadmaps and prioritization.
Identify opportunities for innovation and emerging technologies to enhance testing capabilities.
Drive improvements in existing QA processes, take ownership, and lead resolution through influence.
Mentor and coach multiple cross-functional engineers, providing clarity and reducing ambiguity while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
Must-Have Skills:
6–8+ years of experience as a Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong hands-on automation experience (UI and/or integration).
Deep expertise in automation frameworks and infrastructure, particularly Selenium.
Expert-level JavaScript experience; working knowledge of Hack and PHP.
Proven ability to work independently as a self-learner in ambiguous environments.
Strong communication skills with experience building cross-functional partnerships.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with UI automation frameworks.
Exposure to data analytics.
Education:
Computer Science degree

Interview length: 45 minutes each
