IT Software Engineer - Ports | £60,168 | Kent

IT Department | 35 hours, Mon–Fri

Join the UK’s largest port at the heart of national trade and innovation. Our client is modernising critical systems that keep the River moving—and we need an experienced Software Developer to help power the future.

The Opportunity

You’ll be part of a small, highly skilled team modernising and extending mission-critical systems, including the in-house Port Management System. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, influence technical direction, and play a key role in long-term system resilience.

Experience with Uniface is a bonus—but not essential. If you bring strong enterprise development experience, full training is provided.

What You’ll Bring

10+ years’ experience delivering enterprise software solutions

Strong SQL Server & database management expertise

Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking & cyber security

A “go-to” mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Passion for continuous improvement and mentoring others
