Security Engineer - Azure

London – 2 days a week on site

The company:

This regulated organization work with banks, insurers and pension providers to ensure that their customers are protected from losses. The team is expanding to support the needs of the business and their clients and are looking for a Security Engineer, with Azure expertise, to deliver and maintain the security controls across this evolving business’ infrastructure

Security Engineer - Azure

The role:

The successful applicant for the Security Engineer - Azure

will be responsible for:

Delivering security engineering across MS Azure, including Sentinel, and Defender configuration
Engineering proactive solutions, including suggesting automation for continuous improvement of security controls
Conducting threat hunting activities to ensure that the business remains aware of the changing threat landscape, and then take proactive decisions to mitigate this
Configuring tooling in the MS Security Suite
Automating security processes through scripting (PowerShell / Python) and infrastructure as code (Terraform / Bicep)

Security Engineer - Azure

Your profile:

The ideal candidate for the Security Engineer - Azure

will:

Have had practical experience in a security engineering role
Strong proven ability to work with MS Azure Security Services
Strong experience with vulnerability platforms for example Tenable or Qualys
Experience of working in a regulated environment

Security Engineer - Azure

Your technical knowledge and skills

The ideal applicant for the Security Engineer – Azure will have:

A strong understanding of cloud security principles, with Azure being strongly preferred
Recent experience with MS Defender for Cloud and MS Sentinel
Knowledge of IAM concepts
Scripting skills for automation
Exposure to Infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)
The ability to interpret and act on threat intelligence
