Rosen Group, a nationally acclaimed full-service PR agency, is seeking a full-time Public Relations Associate to join our team. This position is hybrid—with the option to work remotely but an expectation to be in New York City for in-person meetings, client events, and media opportunities. We also encourage participation in local industry and networking events.
This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a professional, fast-paced, boutique PR firm representing a diverse roster of clients. We represent national brands across industries including food & beverage, publishing, creative agencies, non-profit, and cannabis/CBD.
Responsibilities & Skills:
Draft press releases, pitches, and media advisories
Build and maintain media lists and relationships with key journalists
Conduct media research and compile client coverage reports
Contribute to creative campaign development and brainstorming
Support account leads with day-to-day client management
Track media trends and identify proactive PR opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
1–3 years of Media PR experience (agency experience preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with social analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Later, native insights).
Deep understanding of platform algorithms, trends, and best practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva
Familiarity with MuckRack, Critical Mention, and social media platforms preferred
Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Additional Preferred Experience:
Experience representing ad agencies, hospitality, B2B a plus
Interest in social media and influencer marketing—not required for all clients, but increasingly an area of focus
Enthusiasm for attending client events, media opportunities, and industry networking gatherings in NYC
