Senior Data Scientist | New York, NY (Hybrid) | $90–$130 per hour | 6–12 Month Contract

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Rate: $90–$130 per hour (1099 contractor)

Duration: 6–12 months (extension likely)

Work Authorization: U.S. citizens/Green card holders

Project Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy ML models and AI workflows that drive business-critical decisions. Your work will focus on forecasting, anomaly detection, and fraud detection, helping the organisation proactively identify patterns, manage risk, and optimise decision-making.

Skills & Experience

3–7+ years’ experience in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, or Applied Analytics.
Strong Python skills, including Pandas, NumPy, and ML libraries.
ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras.
Proficient in SQL for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.
AWS or Microsoft Azure.
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and model evaluation metrics.
Experience deploying models into production workflows, with knowledge of CI/CD and MLOps practices.
Familiarity with streaming or real-time data processing is a plus.
Experience with forecasting, anomaly detection, or fraud detection is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
