Interim Group Data Protection & Compliance Manager – 12-Month Contract - ASAP start.

A leading organisation in the UK’s transport and infrastructure sector, operating a network of strategic assets essential to the nation’s trade and supply chains, is looking to hire an Interim Group Data Protection & Compliance Manager 12-month contract.

The purpose of this role is to act as the data protection and corporate compliance adviser to the client’s business and other operations on the day to day affairs of the business.

What you’ll do:

Act as the data protection and compliance adviser across multiple sites.
Lead and oversee data privacy compliance, ensuring adherence to UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Serve as the primary contact for external bodies such as the ICO.
Maintain and implement data protection and compliance policies.
Deliver training and raise awareness across the organisation.
Conduct audits, manage data subject requests, and investigate breaches.
Advise on legislative changes impacting the business.

What we’re looking for:

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Knowledge of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Experience interpreting and implementing compliance frameworks.
