Seniority & profile :

From 4 years of professional experience in software engineering
The ability to build an efficient software code in C++, clear mastery of OOP, design patterns, API & interface design for highly technical stacks.
Mastery of multi-threading & real-time programming.
Some fundamental knowledge related to robotics : applied mathematics, linear algebra, solver/optimization. Experience in math heavy topics (even finance !), edge computing contexts with limited CPU ressources are also pertinent.
Master/Engineering degree or PhD

No specific knowledge of robotics is required, being able to architecture & develop from a whiteboard explanation is !

As software engineer, you will be embedded inside the various control teams. Specifically, the software engineers of the motion team work on :

The frameworks & advanced libraries we develop as our back-end to easily create & solve optimization problem at runtime (formulating control problems), to integrate simulation & visualization tools
Any and all elements of the control stack, alongside the robotic specialists, with the goal to ensure a clean, maintainable and real-time implementation. On our existing software but also starting from concepts developed on paper.

This position is hands-on and will mean tackling the most complex software challenges the motion team faces as well as designing the core software paradigms of the team, expressed by the architecture the whole team follows when creating features. Unlocking all of Aru's behaviors require interactions between a large quantity of concepts.
