Job Description:

Title: Quality Assurance Tester II (3+ Years Experience)

Location: Onsite – Metro Atlanta, GA (5 days/week)

Schedule: 35 hours/week (potential increase to 40 hours in February)

Duration: 18 months contract (potential to extend)

Travel: Up to 25% monthly within Metro Atlanta (expenses reimbursed)

Equipment: Client laptop provided

About the Role:

In 2009, our client introduced the revolutionary Freestyle dispenser. Today, the Freestyle platform has evolved into a modern ecosystem powered by cloud, web, IoT, and embedded technologies. These systems coordinate motors, sensors, compressors, and precision pumps to deliver an unmatched beverage experience.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Quality Assurance Tester II to support and maintain the quality of the Freestyle fleet. This role blends hands-on field work with deep software and hardware troubleshooting, working closely with customers, development teams, and product owners to investigate, reproduce, and resolve real-world issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with customers and operations teams to analyze and evaluate software issues occurring in the field
Investigate, triage, and prioritize field defects, proposing effective resolutions
Reproduce customer-reported issues in lab environments and document findings
Analyze logs, metrics, and stack traces to support defect debugging
Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and product teams to identify root causes
Support software release testing to validate new features and functionality
Assist with innovation projects, engineering prototypes, and early-stage testing
Identify defect trends and patterns to improve long-term product quality
Develop deep expertise in dispenser software and overall system functionality

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in Software Quality Assurance or related roles
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and testing tools
Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of issues
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Experience with QA metrics, operational data, and statistical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Field experience troubleshooting customer-facing software and hardware issues
Ability to design and execute detailed issue reproduction scenarios
Strong working knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and Unix command-line tools
Experience with Java and at least one additional programming language
Familiarity with backend communication protocols, APIs, and web services
Experience using version control systems such as Git
Background working in mixed software and hardware environments
