A leading, privately held scientific research and technology organisation is seeking a Chief Platform Officer / Chief Technology Officer to join its executive leadership team.

This role will lead the development and operational excellence of an advanced AI- and computation-driven platform, working closely with experts across biology, chemistry, and data science to deliver high-impact scientific programmes with real-world outcomes.

Your role

Define and execute the platform strategy across AI/ML, data engineering, computational biology, and structural biology
Lead and develop multidisciplinary scientific and technical teams, setting clear objectives and driving excellence
Oversee platform and project budgets, resource allocation, and operational performance
Implement scalable processes to ensure robust, compliant, and high-quality scientific delivery
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align technical strategy with business objectives
Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex scientific programmes, ensuring timelines and outcomes are met

What you’ll bring

Proven track record in a senior leadership role within AI-enabled life sciences, technology-driven research, or data-centric environments
Deep expertise in computational biology, AI/ML, cheminformatics, structural biology, or related scientific domains
Strong strategic, operational, and people-leadership capabilities
Ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative, adaptable, and high-performing leadership style suited to fast-moving environments
