Data Engineer - Azure, Databricks, SQL, CI/CD

Our sister company Stellarmann is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join one of our key clients. This is not a traditional data engineering role - the client is looking for a strategic, advisory-led engineer who can help reshape a highly complex data landscape while providing critical production support.

Advisory-first impact: Design and influence both short-term fixes and long-term data solutions across a complex ecosystem
High visibility & fast pace: Regular engagement with technical and non-technical stakeholders - strong communication skills are essential
End-to-end data exposure: Initial focus on production support and bronze-layer data, with progression into silver/gold layers and new buildsEssential skills
Strong experience with Azure, particularly Databricks and Data Factory
Solid background in SQL Server and SSIS
Proficient with CI/CD, DevOps, and YAML pipelines
Proven experience working within a production support environment
Ability to operate as a trusted advisor, influencing data strategy and solution design
This is an initial 6-month contract, paying competitive market rates outside IR35, offering hybrid working from the London office (3 days per week).
