Position Title: RQ10231 - Infrastructure Technology Architect
Location: Tornto, ON (Onsite)
Mode: Contract
Position Overview
Client is seeking a Senior Technology Architect to provide subject matter expertise and leadership across a range of enterprise infrastructure, security, and service modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, enhancing, integrating, and supporting hybrid on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions, while ensuring service reliability, security, and operational excellence.
Key Deliverables
Architectural design and implementation of secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure services.
Modernization of infrastructure platforms, tenants, and product services.
Design and configuration of advanced security features and enterprise services.
Integration of on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Optimization of logging, DNS, monitoring, and other core enterprise infrastructure components.
Support for complex cluster solutions requiring enhanced integration and deployment.
Continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and performance.
Participation in incident response and service restoration for mission-critical systems.
Knowledge transfer and mentoring of internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, enhance, and maintain enterprise infrastructure and application architectures, including improvements to existing products and services.
Develop, implement, test, and deploy new infrastructure services and technology solutions.
Lead the modernization of on-premises services, with a focus on security, self-service capabilities, and hybrid cloud integration.
Implement and support enterprise services including ePAM, identity management, logging, monitoring, and DNS.
Architect and integrate solutions across multiple platforms, technologies, and processing environments.
Act as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design automation that improves system reliability, availability, and performance.
Support operations teams and OPS clusters during high-priority incidents and escalations.
Plan and execute ongoing service delivery optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Refine operational processes and improve application and infrastructure performance.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cluster projects requiring advanced technical expertise.
Lead initiatives end-to-end, including technical execution, stakeholder coordination, and reporting.
Transfer technical knowledge and best practices to internal team members.
Provide project updates and technical reports to senior management in business-aligned language.
Perform technical project management activities as required.
Required Skills and Experience
1. Technology Experience
Demonstrated experience designing and enhancing infrastructure and application solutions.
Proven ability to lead complex technical and non-technical initiatives from inception to completion.
Expert understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies.
Experience working with a wide range of technologies, including COTS, open-source, and cloud computing platforms.
Ability to mentor and transfer knowledge to team members.
2. Technical Experience
Expert hands-on experience across multiple operating systems and platforms.
Strong knowledge of virtualization, orchestration, and enterprise infrastructure services.
Experience integrating solutions across diverse platforms and environments.
Comprehensive understanding of core enterprise services, including DNS, ePAM, logging, and monitoring.
Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps toolchains and practices, including automation, configuration management, and templating.
3. Service Delivery and Reliability Engineering
Strong coding and scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent).
Experience designing and consuming APIs.
Proven experience acting as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), including automation for service delivery and monitoring of legacy and on-premises systems.
Ability to respond to and resolve incidents in high-availability, mission-critical environments.
4. Communication, Customer Service, and Problem-Solving
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in large enterprise environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to senior management in business terms.
Proven experience managing escalations and high-priority issues.
Ability to perform technical project management responsibilities when required.
