Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)

Overview:

Seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Development Engineer to support early-stage medical device product development. The role focuses on translating R&D designs into robust, repeatable manual or semi-automated assembly processes, including fixtures, tooling, and process validation to ensure production- and ship-ready readiness.

Required Experience:

Hands-on assembly process development for manual or low-automation medical device operations
Experience partnering with R&D during early product development / NPI
Development of assembly stations, fixtures, tooling, gauges, and nests
Process ownership from development through validation and execution
Mechanical, electrical, and functional inspection/testing experience
Working knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions
Experience supporting custom equipment, fixtures, and tooling

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with R&D to define assembly sequences, interfaces, and inspection criteria
Establish assembly and quality standards early in development
Design, build, and optimize manual and semi-manual assembly stations
Own and validate specific equipment or processes
Conduct equipment build, debugging, testing, and iteration
Perform time studies, process optimization, and line balancing
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation
Support transition from development to scaled manufacturing
