POSITION PROFILE:
Inn at the Forks is a luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Winnipeg at the Forks. The hotel opened in June 2004, and features 116 guestrooms and suites, a luxury spa experience at Riverstone Spa and elevated dining at SMITH Restaurant.
As the Senior Sales Manager at Inn at the Forks, you will be responsible for demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit to drive revenue growth and maximize hotel occupancy through proactive sales strategies, strong client relationships, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be a high-performing, adaptable leader who balances results with empathy, thrives under pressure, and actively supports operations and team development. Your leadership will drive the hotel’s success by fostering a culture of excellence among team members and maintaining the integrity of the brand.

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives, drive revenue growth, and maintain profitability
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, group, and social markets
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize repeat business
Conduct outside sales calls, site visits, and presentations to promote the hotel’s offerings
Respond promptly to inquiries, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure bookings
Collaborate with the Sales Team and Revenue Management to develop and execute sales strategies
Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales approaches
Work closely with the banquet and events team to ensure seamless execution of group bookings
Assist in the coordination of events, meetings, and conferences as needed.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details in CRM software.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review
Represent the hotel at networking events, tradeshows, and industry functions
Establish standard operating procedures for sales processes
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to attract new guests and retain loyal customers.
Build strong relationships with the local community, businesses, and stakeholders to enhance the hotel's reputation and drive business growth.
