About The Role

For informal enquiries, please contact Pete Hampshire, Recruitment Manager - Technical and Engineering at pete.hampshire@warwick.ac.uk

Join us for a 6-month fixed-term contract as Senior Analyst/Developer, focusing on hands-on Moodle enhancements - developing features, integrations, and fixes to supercharge teaching, learning and assessment.

Daily work blends solo coding with collaboration: debug issues, build time-saving features, integrate systems, and liaise with internal teams and external vendors. Deliver clean, documented code and user-focused support, while adapting to new tech. UK-based remote work is considered.

You’ll be working at a top-10 UK University and global innovator and shape the digital tools used for world-class education, impacting thousands.

Flexible Working

We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g. job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.

About You

You're a seasoned Moodle developer who gets a buzz from leading the way on university learning tools, making sure they're reliable, innovative, and easy for everyone to use. In our Information & Digital Group (IDG), you'll take the lead on improving and supporting our main Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) like Moodle and auxiliary integrations, plugins and applications.

You'll dive deep into development, integrations, and fixes - troubleshooting glitches, building fresh features and teaming up with university colleagues and outside vendors to create a seamless, rock-solid service that spans the whole institution.

This is a role where you shine independently but love collaborating. You'll write clean, scalable code that's easy to understand and maintain, all while delivering top-notch support that puts users first. We're looking for someone flexible and quick to learn, ready to tackle new systems as they join our lineup, always adapting to keep things running smoothly in our fast-evolving digital world.

If you're a proactive developer/analyst with a knack for turning tech challenges into smart solutions and a passion for enhancing education through code and collaboration, we'd love you as our Senior Analyst/Developer.

For details on the experience and skills required, please refer to the job description attached as a PDF below.
