Job Specifications

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office at a minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Perform ETL Quality Engineering activities within the Wealth Management domain (Wealth Management experience is mandatory).
Validate data across multiple sources including databases, text files, XML files, and other structured/unstructured formats.
Conduct comprehensive backend/database testing, including writing and validating medium to high complexity SQL and PL/SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
Analyze testing scope, define test coverage, and provide accurate work estimates for assigned deliverables.
Understand end to end data flows and data models across integrated systems within the Wealth Management space.
Design test approaches and develop detailed test strategies and plans aligned with business requirements and user stories.
Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks (data driven, keyword driven, hybrid, or BDD) to support continuous testing and delivery.
Build and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Maven, and Java (Eclipse/IntelliJ).
Utilize reporting frameworks such as Allure, Extent Reports, or similar TestNG based reporting tools.
Manage test cases, test executions, and defect tracking using Jira and Jira plugins such as Xray or Zephyr.
Collaborate with cross functional teams including business analysts, developers, architects, and DevOps to ensure high quality delivery.
Provide clear communication of test results, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
Support CI/CD integration for automated test suites where applicable.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Mandatory: Strong Wealth Management industry experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in ETL/Data Quality Engineering with exposure to multiple data sources (databases, text files, XML, etc.).
Solid understanding of database systems, data warehousing concepts, and ETL workflows.
Proven experience in backend/database testing with strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
Minimum 3+ years of hands on experience in designing and developing automated testing frameworks (data driven, keyword driven, hybrid, or BDD).
Proficiency in Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Maven, Java, and IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ.
Experience with automation reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.
Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git, and test management add ons like Xray or Zephyr.
Ability to analyze complex data flows and system integrations within Wealth Management applications.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000–$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
