The Opportunity

UNITE is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a globally recognised luxury fashion brand for a Head of Merchandising EMEA, based in Paris.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the regional merchandising strategy across EMEA, ensuring strong commercial performance while preserving brand equity, exclusivity, and positioning within the luxury segment.

The successful candidate will combine sharp commercial acumen with a deep understanding of luxury consumer behaviour, retail excellence, and regional market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

Define and lead the EMEA merchandising strategy aligned with global brand direction
Drive seasonal buying, assortment planning, and product allocation across retail and wholesale channels
Optimise sell through, full price performance, and inventory management
Analyse market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
Partner closely with Global Merchandising, Retail, Wholesale, Planning, and Marketing teams
Oversee pricing architecture and regional assortment adaptation while maintaining brand consistency
Lead and develop the regional merchandising team
Monitor KPIs including sell through, margin performance, stock turn, and regional profitability
Support store openings and market expansion initiatives across EMEA

Profile

Significant experience in merchandising within the luxury fashion sector
Proven leadership experience across multi country EMEA markets
Strong analytical mindset combined with aesthetic sensitivity
Experience managing both retail and wholesale distribution models
Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrix, international organisation
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Languages

Fluency in English is essential.

French and Italian are highly desirable.
