About The Team
You’ll be joining our JD Star Graduate Pathway, designed to give early-career talent hands-on experience as a Software Engineer working in our new Technology Centre in London, supporting the building and improvement of our Retail Platforms. We value curiosity, collaboration, and the confidence to take ownership in a fast-moving environment, helping you build real skills and make real impact from day one.
Alongside mentorship and learning experiences your day to day role will cover responsibilities such as:
System Development: Develop functional modules per requirements, write maintainable code, and ensure system integrity and timely delivery.
Architecture Design: Design and review technical solutions, plan system expansion, and ensure architectural rationality and scalability.
Technical Research: Solve complex technical problems, optimize system performance and stability, and improve service availability and response efficiency.
Collaborative Support: Partner with product and test teams to implement requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure on-schedule delivery.
Quality Assurance: Establish code standards and monitoring systems to reduce system failure rates.
Technical Exploration: Track industry trends, validate new technologies, and promote their application in business scenarios.
About You
We're looking for the brightest of minds to join our Tech Engineering team, here's who we're looking for:
Graduated in 2025/2026 studying a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related academic area
Proficient in Java, with an understanding of microservices frameworks and experience using Spring / Spring Boot
Familiar with MySQL and basic system operations
Experienced in technical documentation and API documentation writing
Strong Chinese and English communication skills; solid technical writing ability is a plus
Preferred but not mandatory for this role:
Experience with third-party system integration is preferred
Experience with internet platforms, merchant onboarding, or data operations is a plus
