We are looking for:

SDET API Testing Expert – Java Selenium (FintechDomain)

Location: Chicago IL (Onsite)

Type: Long-Term Contract

Work Schedule: 5 Days Onsite

Interview Type: Face-to-Face Required

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced API Testing Expert with strong skills in Java and Selenium, specifically within the financial services domain. This is a long-term contract opportunity based in Chicago IL, requiring 5 days onsite per week and a Face-to-Face interview.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in automated API testing and prior experience working in banking, financial services, or capital markets environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement robust automated testing frameworks for RESTful APIs.

Develop and execute functional, integration, and regression tests using Java and Selenium.

Validate API responses for accuracy, performance, and reliability, especially for financial data and transaction processing.

Utilize tools like Postman, Rest Assured, and TestNG/JUnit for testing and reporting.

Collaborate with QA, development, and business teams to understand functional requirements and financial workflows.

Identify defects, document test results, and assist with triaging issues in financial applications.

Work within Agile/Scrum teams in a high-regulation environment with emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Required Skills and Experience:

7+ years of hands-on experience in Software QA with a strong focus on API testing.

Expertise in Java and Selenium WebDriver.

Strong experience with RestAssured, Postman, or similar API testing tools.

Proficient in testing financial applications, such as payment systems, trading platforms, or banking APIs.

Solid understanding of HTTP, JSON/XML, and RESTful services.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Experience working in regulated environments and understanding of compliance and audit requirements in financial systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week in St. Louis, MO.

Must be available for a Face-to-Face interview.
