2 days a week onsite in Warwick

6 month contract - Inside IR35

We are supporting a major organisation within the UK energy and utilities sector on a new piece of work and are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join on an initial 6 month contract.

This is a hybrid role based in Warwick and offers the opportunity to work on business critical data and reporting solutions within a highly regulated infrastructure environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for designing, developing and optimising Power BI dashboards and reports that support operational and strategic decision making. The work will involve close collaboration with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, high quality reporting solutions.

There is a strong back end element to this role, so you will need to be comfortable working with databases and shaping data before it reaches the reporting layer.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards
Write and optimise DAX measures and data models
Use Python for scripting, automation and data manipulation tasks
Work with back end databases to extract, transform and validate data
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insight driven solutions
Ensure performance, security and best practice standards are maintained

Required Experience

6+ years’ experience as a Power BI Developer
Strong hands on Power BI experience including complex data modelling
Solid Python scripting skills
Good knowledge of back end databases and SQL
Experience working in regulated or enterprise scale environments would be beneficial
Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non technical stakeholders
