Job Specifications

Position: Biology PhDs with Published Papers

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $80–$125 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: Project-based (pilot program, potential extension)

Role Responsibilities

Create advanced biological research challenges across molecular biology and omics domains
Design experimental reasoning tasks including controls, confounders, reproducibility, and data interpretation
Develop research-level questions, answers, and structured evaluation rubrics
Provide feedback on wet-lab protocols, computational pipelines, and study design
Apply quantitative and bioinformatics reasoning to evaluate complex, multi-step biological problems

Requirements

PhD or MD/PhD in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, bioengineering, systems biology, or related life-science field
Currently or recently active in academia (faculty, staff scientist, research scientist, or postdoc)
Hands-on wet-lab experience designing and executing experiments
Strong expertise in experimental design, controls, confounders, and reproducibility
Deep domain expertise in at least one of: genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, or proteomics
Published peer-reviewed research with demonstrated impact (first/second author or senior leadership)
Strong scientific writing and analytical reasoning skills
