Communication officer

Initial 5 month freelance contract + possible extension

Leuven (3 days onsite / week)

32 – 40 hours/week

Start date – 7th April

The assignment

April - May - June 2026

Set up the new website of the Belgian AI Factory Antenna
Upgrade the FAIR website to the new backend system, restyle, reshape
Organisation of the FAIR Internal Research Day on May 12 (250-300 people): practical organisation, arrangements for venue, catering, registrations, on site organisation of the event

Mid August - September 2026

Organise launch event of the Belgian AI Factory Antenna
Other needs may pop up when the BE-AIFA is launched

Required knowledge and skills

You have experience in organizing (technology) events of 200-300 people
You have experience in websites for technological (funded) projects/programs, targeting primarily the AI ecosystem in Flanders and Belgium
Your organizational skills are on point; you take initiative, you can plan and execute tasks in autonomous way, and adapt flexibly to changes. You call in help where needed.
Fluent in English and Dutch
