Greetings!

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Hyperion Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise performance management (EPM) solutions for a Tier-1 banking client. In this role, you will be responsible for building robust financial models, streamlining consolidation processes, and ensuring the technical integrity of Hyperion applications used for critical financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Senior Hyperion Developer (EPM)

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid/On-site)

Position Type: Long-term Contract

Experience Level: 12+ Years

Must hold a valid Oracle Hyperion/EPM Certification (e.g., Oracle Hyperion Planning or Essbase Certified Implementation Specialist).

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design: Design and implement scalable Oracle Hyperion solutions (On-premise/Cloud), specifically focusing on Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and HFM.
Development: Write and optimize complex Calculation Scripts, Business Rules, MaxL scripts, and Member Formulas to support high-volume financial data processing.
Data Integration: Build and maintain seamless ETL workflows using FDMEE/ODI to integrate data from General Ledger (GL) and other core banking source systems.
Financial Reporting: Develop dynamic financial reports and dashboards using Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View to meet the needs of FP&A and executive leadership.
Performance Tuning: Monitor and tune Essbase cubes and database structures to ensure sub-second response times for complex queries.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all solutions adhere to banking security standards, SOX compliance, and internal audit requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, IT, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 12+ years of hands-on experience in Hyperion/Oracle EPM development and administration.
Certification (Mandatory): Must hold a valid Oracle Hyperion/EPM Certification (e.g., Oracle Hyperion Planning or Essbase Certified Implementation Specialist).
Banking Domain: Proven experience working within the Banking or Financial Services sector, with a deep understanding of financial consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and GAAP/IFRS reporting.
Technical Stack:
Expert-level proficiency in Essbase (ASO/BSO) and Hyperion Planning.
Strong knowledge of HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) and FDM/FDMEE.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Windows/Unix scripting.
Experience with EPM Cloud (PBCS/EPBCS) is a significant asset.
