Summary

The Ash Group is hiring an Android Developer for our client, a global technology distributor connecting leading manufacturers of electronic components and computing solutions. This is a 6-month contract role, working in Philadelphia, PA (Onsite) offering a pay rate of $57 per hour W2 based on skill set.

Role Details

Compensation: $57/hr W2
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
Duration: 6-months
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite)

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsible for delivering high-quality mobile applications for Android users.
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin
Implement and maintain Android UI with a focus on user experience and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
Follow best practices in MVVM, CLEAN Architecture, and other design patterns to ensure maintainability and scalability.
Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.

What We’re Looking For

Must have 5-8 years of experience in Android development with Architecture Components, UI components, Room DB, and Retrofit.
Advanced knowledge of Kotlin and modern features (e.g., coroutines, extension functions).
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Mockito, JUnit, and Espresso for unit and UI testing.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum processes.
Experience working in CI/CD environments.
Hands-on experience with IoT-based Android solutions, integrating with smart devices.
Strong understanding of MQTT protocol for messaging and device communication.
Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication and device pairing.
