Role Summary:

We are looking for a Business Data Analyst with strong experience in Data Warehousing / Data Lake environments and good understanding of Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, or Wealth Management domains. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand data systems, gather requirements, onboard new source systems, and create data curation logic and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze business requirements for integrating new source systems into existing Data Warehouse / Data Lake platforms
Work with business stakeholders and IT partners to understand data systems and business processes
Create Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) and Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
Document data curation logic, data flows, and business rules
Support issue resolution and ensure alignment between business and technical teams

Required Skills:

7+ years of experience as a Data / Business Data Analyst
Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Mart, and Data Lake concepts
Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
Experience with SQL dialects such as Databricks Spark SQL, Oracle SQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, and exposure to MongoDB

Good understanding of:

Incremental vs Full Data Loads
Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
Data Ingestion, Curation, and Semantic layers
Fact and Dimension tables

Domain Knowledge:

Experience or awareness in Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, or Wealth Management

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and resolve issues
