A fast-growing fintech is seeking a Data Scientist to join their risk and analytics team. This is a rare opportunity to work on complex, high-impact problems in merchant risk, fraud, and credit analytics, helping shape solutions that directly affect the business and its customers.

THE ROLE

You'll be joining a team that's building things from scratch, tackling novel challenges with both analytical rigour and commercial insight. Day-to-day, you'll:

Monitor and assess partner portfolios using advanced analytics and, where needed, account-level reviews to understand both existing and emerging risks.
Build, implement, and track predictive rules and models to improve understanding of merchant risk.
Collaborate with payments firms and insurers to understand their requirements and shape data-driven solutions for the market.

REQUIREMENTS

2-5 years' experience in a quantitative credit risk, fraud, or related analytical role.
Strong technical skills: Python for analysis, SQL for data extraction/manipulation.
Experience with supervised models (logistic regression, gradient boosting).
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously and proactively solve problems.
Motivated by making tangible impact on the business and customer outcomes.
