DevOps Engineer – HFT Crypto Trading Platform

London (close collaboration with US team)

Permanent – via long‑term consultancy engagement

We’re partnering with a specialist capital markets consultancy that is building a next‑generation high‑frequency trading platform for a global crypto client. They’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the core platform team in London, working across AWS and bare‑metal infrastructure in a complex, multi‑regional trading environment. You’ll own automation and reliability for mission‑critical trading systems, collaborating closely with senior engineers, traders and quants to deliver fast, safe change with minimal/zero downtime.

Our client is a specialist capital markets consultancy partnering with a global crypto trading firm on the build‑out of a next‑generation high‑frequency trading (HFT) platform. They’re hiring a DevOps Engineer into the core platform team.

You’ll work across AWS and bare‑metal environments in a complex, multi‑regional trading setup, helping to deliver fast, reliable change with minimal/zero downtime.

What you’ll do

Design, build and run infrastructure across AWS and bare‑metal.
Use Puppet, Chef, Terraform or Ansible for automation and IaC.
Support mission‑critical trading platform environments (high availability, low latency).
Improve CI/CD and deployment pipelines for safe, automated change.
Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues in multi‑region systems.
Collaborate with developers, traders and quants in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative team.

What we’re looking for

Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer / SRE in complex production environments.
Hands‑on with AWS and bare‑metal infrastructure.
Strong with at least one of: Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Ansible.
Proven track record automating change and deployments with high uptime.
Strong Linux, scripting (e.g. Bash/Python), monitoring and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Nice to have

Trading platform experience (exchange, broker, prop, market‑making, etc.).
Exposure to HFT and/or crypto trading environments.
Background in capital markets or electronic trading.
