About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake/Data Engineer with a strong consulting background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data ingestion and preparation, exposure to Sigma (especially in context with Snowflake), and a solid understanding of scalable data pipelines and User-Defined Functions (UDLs).

You will be working closely with data engineering, BI teams, and client stakeholders in a hybrid setting from our Toronto location.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and optimize data ingestion workflows into Snowflake.
Perform data preparation and transformation to ensure high data quality and consistency.
Integrate and maintain Sigma dashboards and reports connected to Snowflake.
Build and manage User-Defined Functions (UDLs) and scalable data pipelines for diverse use cases.
Leverage Amazon Bedrock to support AI/ML and Generative AI use cases integrated with Snowflake data platforms.
Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Ensure best practices in data modeling, performance tuning, governance, and cost management within Snowflake.
Work with FiveTran and other ETL connectors to streamline and automate data ingestion from multiple sources.
Participate in architecture discussions, solution design, and client presentations as part of consulting engagements.

Required Skills & Experience:

7+ years of experience with Snowflake data warehouse and its ecosystem.
Strong consulting or client-facing experience, preferably in data transformation or cloud modernization programs.
Proficiency in data ingestion and preparation techniques, including batch and real-time processing.
Experience integrating AI/GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock with data platforms.
Familiarity with Sigma Computing, especially in connecting and querying data from Snowflake.
Strong understanding of UDLs, SQL scripting, and automated pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow).
Experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS.
Comfortable working in a hybrid work model, coordinating both onsite and remote collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in data engineering or enterprise data platform architecture.
Experience delivering solutions in a consulting or professional services organization.
Exposure to AI/ML-driven analytics, LLM integrations, or data-driven GenAI use cases.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage business and technical stakeholders effectively.
