Position: ETL Data Tester

Location: Toronto ON

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases using Python and SQL for large-scale data pipelines.
Validate data transformations, data quality, and data consistency across multiple source and target systems.
Perform complex SQL queries to verify data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
Collaborate with data engineers to analyze ETL workflows, mappings, and logic documentation.
Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar to validate data services and integrations.
Troubleshoot ETL failures and participate in root-cause analysis for data discrepancies.
Automate repeatable test scenarios using Python to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Document test results, defect reports, and maintain clear traceability of testing activities.
Participate in sprint ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional Agile teams.
(Optional/Nice-to-have) Support testing for Kafka-based data pipelines, including validating message ingestion and processing.
