Position: Biology PhD Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $35–$70/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time, project-based (10–20 hours/week)

Role Responsibilities

Author and review prompts and ideal responses across core biological subfields
Provide detailed and accurate answers for multiple prompt types, including synthesis, summarization, and open/closed QA
Review and refine model-generated responses to improve accuracy and clarity
Identify prompt structures that effectively challenge state-of-the-art AI models
Adjust tone and structure to align with different system personas (e.g., expert vs. generalist)
Contribute to long-term supervised fine-tuning dataset development initiatives

Requirements

PhD in Biology or a closely related life science discipline
Deep expertise in one or more subfields (e.g., molecular biology, evolutionary biology, neurobiology)
Strong written communication skills with high attention to scientific accuracy
Prior experience writing or editing instructional or scientific content is preferred
Familiarity with AI or large language models is a plus, but not required
