No other locations will be considered.

About The Team & Role

This role sits within the Consumer Identity space, supporting the customers login and primary identification services for customers. The team builds horizontal backend services that power secure customer authentication across the website.

100% backend development (no frontend)
Team supports DSS and DFS integrations
Team size: ~7–8 people (mix of full?time employees and contractors)

This role is opening due to a new upcoming project. While not directly tied to DFS, the team is leveraging a growing customer base to prioritize and deliver initiatives they’ve wanted to tackle for some time.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services supporting customer login and identity platforms
Write high?quality, scalable Java code using Spring
Develop and deploy services in AWS environments
Work within DevOps?driven pipelines, including Dockerized applications
Collaborate closely with teammates on releases, integrations, and troubleshooting
Ensure changes are properly monitored and observable
Actively participate in team ceremonies and collaboration

Day?to?Day Breakdown

~50% hands?on coding (with support from AI coding tools)
~20% monitoring and ensuring changes are production?ready
~20–30% team meetings and collaboration
Ongoing troubleshooting and support

Required Qualifications

6–7+ years of backend development experience
Strong expertise in:
Java (Spring / Spring Boot)
AWS
DevOps practices
Docker
Experience building and supporting distributed backend services
Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast?moving environment

Nice to Have

Experience with Splunk and New Relic
Experience with OneStream

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Candidates with strong, relevant experience and skill set will be considered in lieu of a degree
